What we believe
THE NWFC STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that there is One God eternally existing in three persons, Father , Son and Spirit.
We believe that Christ died for our sins according to scripture, that he was buried and rose again on the third day. We believe in the teachings of the contents of the Bible as the inspired word of God.
For what I received I pass on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
We believe in the promotion of Christian fellowship; and the extension of the Gospel and of Christian teaching according to the scriptures throughout the world.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His Virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and in Glory.
We believe that apart from God reaching down in Christ, no one is right in a relationship with God. We believe that anyone who rejects or neglects God's offered salvation is without God and without a valid hope.
We believe the Bible, as originally written, to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God in all that it affirms. We believe that the Bible has been preserved to the present day as a trustworthy representation of the original manuscripts.
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
( 1 Thessalonians 2:13)

And from infancy, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; They that are saved unto resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.

We believe in the Baptism of believers. Those professing saving faith in Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Saviour will, upon their own request, be baptized by the Pastor or other designated person by the church, by immersion in water, according to the teaching of scripture.
Don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live in new life. (Romans 6:3,4)
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19).
We believe in the Lord's supper. The death of Christ will be remembered in observance of the Lord's supper at least once a month, and in such a manner as is in accord with the teaching of the word.
And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this is in remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. ( 1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
